On site fuelling
Park vehicle in an area so as not to obstruct roadway.
Ensure ground conditions around fuel tank are clean and
clear of obstructions.
Snow and Ice to be cleared before attempting to re-fuel
Use correct fob for vehicle being fuelled
Non permeable gloves to be used when fuelling vehicle.
Do not leave fuel nozzle unattended whilst fuel is pumping
Any spillages to be cleaned up immediately using grit/spill kit
Large spillages to be reported to transport manager immediately
Any defects with fuel hose/pump to be reported to transport manager immediately
AMS Ltd have a bulk tank facility that is accessed via a key fob and unique PIN.
Off site fuelling
If filling up off site use only regular Diesel NOT PREMIUM FUELS
If regular Diesel is not available then call the Transport Manager for instructions.
Be aware of where you can fill your vehicle and ensure that you plan ahead.
PIN numbers are four digit code that must be kept in a separate location from your card.
Please ensure that you know your fuel card PIN number
If you don’t then please ask
Please do not fuel your vehicle if you don’t know your PIN
You can fuel up at Esso, BP and Shell service stations
Drivers are required to hand in fuel receipts daily.
Cards must be left in the Transport Office, before a driver goes on annual leave.
