5.    All of the above can only be carried out providing a separate Risk Assessment
                        has taken place and a method statement has been made and read along with
                        SSW 33 Using slings, chains and lifting equipment.

                  6.    Unblocking conveyors if they become blocked. Switch off machine and follow lock
                        out procedure. If any guards are removed to clean around rollers, they MUST be
                        replaced before removing the lock out procedure.

                  7.    When using the machine the operator MUST be aware of other vehicles, plant
                        and pedestrians. If pedestrians come within the screens working area it MUST be
                        shut down and stopped.

                  8.    If the operator leaves the machine it MUST be turned off and the key MUST be
                        removed  from  the  ignition  or  handed  over  to  another  trained  and  authorised
                        person.


            The operator MUST be familiar with all the relevant safe systems of work and the relevant
            Risk Assessments relating to this machine.


            If all the above controls are followed then the risk of injury to persons has been brought
            down to as low as is reasonably practical.
