Your elevator pitch can be longer, of course, but your ideal situation
would be for your product to have these types of short, effective
sentences and taglines.

Start by writing the top five words that describe your product's
function or purpose. Then, move on to five words that describe the
benefits of the product. Next, try to make a few sentences using
those words and continue to boil it down until you have a couple of
sentences that clearly describe your product.

Now that you have your elevator pitch, logo, contact information,
and price point, you can build your marketing materials. In order to
effectively market your product you will need to have these materi
als-in various formats-readily available to send or e-mail to buy
ers and journalists who are interested in your product. You need
such items as brochures, photos, fliers, press releases, and press
kits available in both physical and electronic form. You'll use these
in your various marketing efforts, so they should be accurate, read
able, and powerful.

                                Quality Photography

The cliche "a picture is worth a thousand words" is true when it
comes to marketing. You want photos of your product to be so good
that they help sell it.

                                  Use a Professional

You can either hire a professional photographer or buy a great
digital camera and try it yourself. But beware: Do-it-yourself pho
tography may save you some money, but it won't help sell your prod
uct if it's shoddily done. Amateurs often struggle with poor lighting,
incorrect perspective, and inconsistency-don't suffer with these to
save a few hundred dollars.
