like you're trying to get through to the President at the White House.
It can be intimidating to approach a buyer, but remember that this is
what you've been working toward. Buyers will help get your product
in front of consumers. The keys to winning them over are having a
great product, filling a void in their offering, and being easy to work
with and reliable. You can do all that, right? Let's look at some com­
mon scenarios and selling tactics.

Before talking with any buyers, familiarize yourself with the lingo
of your particular industry as well as the lingo buyers use regard­
ing purchasing options and terms. Buyers can talk fast and if they
ask you a question about a purchase order and you respond with
