Ginger Steak Marinade Dish
Ingredients and Prep:
1/2 tablespoon of salt (if needed).
1 tablespoon of ground ginger.
1 tablespoon of ground black pepper.
1 tablespoon of dried basil.
1 tablespoon of prepared yellow mustard.
1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
2 tablespoons of soy sauce.
1 clove of crushed garlic.
4 8-ounce sirloin steaks.
Cooking Directions:
Preheat the broiler or the oven's grill.
Combine the ginger, garlic, pepper, mustard, lemon juice, basil and soy
sauce in a bowl.
Place the steaks on the grill pan.
Pour the seasoning over each steak. Spread it evenly over each piece.
Broil the steaks for 5 minutes.
Flip the steaks and cook until it reaches the desired "done-ness."
Serving Instructions, Tips & Variations: This recipe serves 4.
For more intense fare, marinate the steak for a few hours before
preparing the meal.
Consider adding a pinch of salt to the steak seasoning.
Serve the steaks with wild rice, mashed potato or green beans as a side.
I recommend beginning to cook the side before you begin preparing the
meat.
You may opt to grate a bit of fresh ginger for use in place of ground
ginger.
Use mustard powder as a substitute for prepared yellow mustard.
Use a homemade soy sauce substitute (see related recipe) in place of
soy sauce.
