to bear on it. Finally, writing as a situated act refers to how the writer
expresses his views in response to a particular context.
Additionally, when writing with the reader in mind, the writer
should use their writing expertise (both in terms of language and content)
to communicate their ideas and help the reader understand them. The author
must produce an interactive text to convey meaning in the context. Briefly,
writing is a developmental process that must be taught. Instructors are
tasked with identifying pedagogical strategies that enable students to gain
experience articulating their ideas in accordance with the intended text
structure.
Nunan (2015) recommends using Maggie Sokolik's fundamental
principles of teaching writing. To commence, educators must
understand their students' underlying motives for engaging in the act of
writing. This is of utmost importance, as a misalignment between the
objectives set out by teachers and student's individual needs and
aspirations in writing instruction can significantly diminish students'
motivation and enthusiasm. According to the researcher's knowledge, the
instruction of writing has to be comprehensively scrutinized through an
analysis of the student's needs, prevailing circumstances, and governmental
regulations. She advocates for the university faculty and instructors to
diligently address the findings of the analysis and ensure their explicit
inclusion in the course syllabi.
