The big day had arrived. We were all elated. A few days later, Joseph and his son drove
back to Chicago with the car rented by us enjoying sightseeing along the way.

We are now in 2024, and the descendants of Bensekrane’s Saff and Moroccan Amal’s
litter, born July 22 2011, continue to astound in coursing and racing events in Europe.
They can be found in Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the USA.

Bernd and I are forever thankful to Joseph Mangelsdorf for making a dream come true,
for an incredible experience and for making us learn so much about Sloughis in a country

of origin difficult to access at the time.

Rest In Peace, dear friend.

Joseph Mangelsdorf was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on December 30, 1939; he
died in Offenburg, Germany on October 21, 2023.
