Departure from Algiers

With temperatures in excess of 35°C, the 7-hour drive from Algiers to Tlemcen was not an
easy decision, especially as my 6-month-old daughter was ill and I had no choice. After
lengthy family discussions, the decision was made to leave as a family, planning to visit
the sights of this beautiful historic city, including the Sidi Boumediene mosque and
Médersa Khaldounia by the famous Arab sociologist Ibn Khaldoun (images 2 and 3)
