MESSAGE FROM SECURITY 7
Hello Desert Horizons Community! Hope all are safe and healthy during these unprecedented
times. I want to remind all homeowners to remain cautious of COVID-19, if you are allowing ven-
dors, service providers or guests into your residence make sure all are taking necessary precau-
tions. As recommended by Riverside County Health System; wear a mask/face covering, keeping 6
feet of distance, avoid parties or large social gatherings, frequently wash your hands and only visit
businesses that take safety steps to protect customers and employees.
On another note, if you are planning to have a construction or re-model work that is longer than a
month, be aware that your vendors may be denied access – if, they don’t join the Vendor Program;
they will be required to purchase transponders at their own expense. In addition, any vendors or
service providers that are entering more than (4) times a month are also required to join the Ven-
dor Program. There are several vendors that work within these walls and the more that are
properly verified and cleared is better security for your community.
At this time, I would like to acknowledge the security team during these unprecedented times,
they have remained calm, collected when things were uncertain and been working around the
clock and behind the scenes to keep you and the community safe and secure, including, taking all
precautions before entering your home for key runs, alarm activations, general requests, general
patrol duties and have been serving the community with great service and commitment.
That being said, if desired and you would like to show your appreciation you are more than wel-
come to drop off any food items that can be shared as a group, they would be very grateful. In ad-
dition, I would like to acknowledge (2) specific security professionals Tony Odom for 10 years of
service and Robert Avila 5 years of service. These security professionals have lead by example
throughout the years and play a vital role by committing their best efforts and service to the De-
sert Horizons Community and their fellow workers, Thank you Mr. Odom and Mr. Avila!
Lastly, please share the road and adhere to all posted STOP, SLOW, 25MPH and speed radar signs
and ALWAYS travel at a safe speed of 25MPH or slower! Drink plenty of water if you are walking
and or exercising to avoid heat exhaustion; contact 9-1-1- immediately for any life threatening situ-
ations and security will always assist as needed. Stay healthy, be safe and Thank you!
Mark Valdez—Director of Security
