           TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTERS: Number of Sorors: 28  Others: 0  Description of Activities: Beta's Technology Chair
           provided a workshop for all Executive Committee Members on how to access and navigate the chapter, Eastern Region and
           National Websites.
           CHILDREN, ADULT & EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, TOUCH -A-CHILD:
                  Number of Sorors: 20          Others: 30
           Description of the Activity: Sorors annually serve 200+ students as Science Fair Judges at a Kimball ES. Sorors annually
           serve 200+ students as Community Readers on Literacy Day at a Kimball ES. Donated board books, diapers and wipes to St.
           Ann's Center for Children, Youth and Families. Hosted a Zumba Health Party  which provided focused on CDC
           recommendations for summer heat protection and health for the mothers, infants and toddlers at St. Ann's Center for
           Children, Youth and Families.
           PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
           TEACH-A-RAMA: Number of Sorors: 40  Xinos: ) Kudos: 0 Other: 1 Description of Activities:  Provide financial
           lottery for active teachers to support projects in their classrooms.
           Donations from an anonymous donor are distributed to a randomly selected soror at monthly chapter meetings.
           Beta Krinon Reporter shared her NSPDK 2019 Krinon Publication article with chapter sorors.
           The article "Is teaching Minority Students to 'Code-Switch' Cultural Discriminatiopn or Cultural Relevancy?" by Dianna
           Mayo Neal.
                  LEADERSHIP TRAINING: Number of Sorors: 24 Description of the Activity: In September Executive
           Committee Members attended a 1-day retreat in order to prepare for their roles as chapter leaders. Sorors shared reports
           and participated in small group break-out sessions to plan for the sororal year.
                  PUBLIC RELATIONS: Number of Sorors:0   Description of Activities: Public Relations Chair established an
           active committee to meet and develop PR messages which promote Beta Chapter activities.
           COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS, EDUCATION AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS
           (ACADEMIC ISSUES AND CURRENT TRENDS) Number of Sorors: 45  Others: 300 Descriptions of Activities: At the
           request of Supreme Basileus Dr. Etta F. Carter, five Beta sorors represented NSPDK at the 2019 NCNW Affiliates
           Assembly held in DC on November 21st.  NSPDK, Inc.,  is one of the 32 Affiliate Organizations of the NCNW.  This year’s
           message or mission to all affiliates revolves around increasing awareness of Social Action and Social Justice.  This should
           be evident in promoting Public Programs and Public Policy, with specific support for full participation in the upcoming
           elections and the 2020 Census.  We need to Reconnect, Renew, and Refocus in order to accomplish the goal of this mission.
           Beta Commission on Civil Rights Education and Legislative Affairs Committee facilitated a workshop on Teen Suicide
           awareness and prevention.
           INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS (SISTERHOOD)
                  Sisterhood Activities: Number of Sorors: 8  Others:  Description of the Activity: Beta Book Buddies, our
           Beta Chapter Book Club met in October.  The book selected for this 3rd annual meeting was “A Hope in the Unseen” by
           Ron Suskind.  Several sorors gathered to discuss the academic pursuits of Cedric Jennings, a graduate of DC Public Schools
           and a Beta scholarship awardee.  Cedric encountered many obstacles at home and at school, but graduated 1st in his class
           from Ballou SHS, then completed his college career at Brown University.  A delicious lunch was enjoyed as sorors shared
           the free flow of ideas and open-ended questions sparked by the book.  The Book Club is open to all Beta sorors.  One book
           per year is selected for the meeting held in September or October.

                FOUNDERS' DAY:      Number of Sorors: 48    Others: Youth and Guest
          Description of the Activity: In May sorors attended Annual Tri-Founder's Day in Baltimore, MD  along with Alpha Mu and Gamma
          Chapters. Gamma served as hosted the event. In October Beta celebrated our Annual Charter Day with a luncheon. Program began
          with a welcome from the Eastern Region Credentials Chairperson and greetings from Eastern Region Internal Structures Chairperson.
          During the occasion Beta's Scholarship Chairperson, reminded all of the importance of celebrating our accomplishments and working
          together to ensure our future. Beta's Official Chapter History was shared. The Beta Chorale shared musical selections. Attendance and
          Membership Awards were presented. New retirees were honored.

           HEALTH, NUTRITION AND HYPERTENSION: Number of Sorors: 40 Others: 0
           Description of Activities: Each Month the Health, Nutrition and Hypertension Committee posted an article in  Beta
           Newsletter as well as made a chapter meeting presentation on various health topics including: Benefits of Juicing Series,
           Cancer Awareness, Exercise and a Healthy Heart.
           SENIOR TEACHERS/SECOND CAREERS/RETIRED SORORS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (RSVP): Number of
           Sorors: 4 Others: 3000+ Description of Activities: Beta Sorors serve as trainers for poll workers at the DC Board of
           Elections. The trainers develop training materials and provide group training classes to prepare or over 3,000 citizens to serve
           as election workers in the 2020 Primary and General elections. Beta Soror Phyllis Brown serves on Executive Board of
           Stoddart Nursing Home.
           ANTHROPOS:  Number of Sorors: 2 Others: 20   Description of the Activity: Read and Beta Anthropos serve weekly as
           volunteer math tutors for the residents of the Central Mission Union Shelter for Homeless Men in downtown Washington, DC.
