               PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
                      TEACH-A-RAMA: Number of Sorors: 20 Xinos: 1 Kudos: 1 Others: 50
                      Description of the Activity: During our Teach-A-Rama program we celebrate the
               accomplishments of our "Youth" and highlight the contributions of "Black Women Inventors" -
               the unsung innovators of our time.  Participants engaged in lengthy discussions and
               explorations of Black Women Inventors and presented  We also honored the commitments of
               our Sorors who continue to be a beacon for our Chapter and our Youth by supporting the
               endeavors of NSPDK, Inc. and sustaining our chapter.  Our program ended with a sumptuous
               lunch.

                      LEADERSHIP TRAINING:                Number of Sorors: 22
               Description of the Activity: Throughout the year Sorors participated in a variety of activities
               that tested their knowledge of the Executive Boards on the local, regional and national levels as
               well as discussion of the official duties of each office. Sorors also participate in exploration and
               understanding of the new M.O.P. The activities are designed to keep the Sorors abreast of the
               components of the M.O.P and various positions within the Sorority including the persons who
               hold them. During the Sororal Year as well as others, Sorors participate in activities that focus
               on ritualistic practices: recitation of the prayer, grace, songs, and ritualistic procedures for
               Founders' Day, Funerals and Initiations,etc.
                      PUBLIC RELATIONS: Number of Sorors: 12
               Description of the Activity: Theta Sorors annually participate in International Literacy Day and
               the Read Aloud Project in collaboration with the Brooklyn Reading Council, Popular Literacy
               Club and P.S. 346K in Brooklyn where they distribute nearly 1000 books to the community
               during the month of May and the 1st week of September.

                      In December the Sorors of Theta Chapter participate in our Annual Holiday Read Aloud
               Project, where the Sorors donate books to families living in a Domestic Violence Safehouse.
               This event is in collaboration with the Brooklyn Reading Council, Popular Literacy Club,
               Urban Institute, and P.S. 346K. The families are engaged in reading stories with Sorors and
               singing holiday songs. The families also receive books, socks, stickers, bookmarks and journals.
               Hundreds books are donated to the event.

               COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS, EDUCATION AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS
               (ACADEMIC ISSUES AND CURRENT TRENDS) Number of Sorors: 8                      Others: 50
               Description of the Activity: Theta sorors work closely with the Brooklyn Reading Council
               and continuously participate in Brooklyn Reading Council and Medgar Evers Prepartory
               School events which focus on current academic issues and current trends in the education field.
