Eta's website www.nspdk-eta.com is open to the public therefore allowed community and
member prospects to learn about the history of NSPDK, Inc. ,Eta Chapter, and events that
support teachers and youth. Fliers, invitations, and announcements were made to inform
community of chapter events. Eta's Wednesday News Flash emailed weekly to Sorors was
utilized to inform Sorors of National, Regional, and Local news. Basileus created a monthly Eta
Essentials emailed to Sorors for specific reminders of chapter business.
COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS, EDUCATION AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS
(ACADEMIC ISSUES AND CURRENT TRENDS) Number of Sorors: 20
Description of the Activity:
January-June 2019 Legislation Monthly updates regarding due process rights for Schools
employees. Updates on bills that address health benefits and their Premiums for schools
employees. Sorors urged to call their legislators
September 2019 Education/ Charter Schools continue to pull students causing drop of
enrollment. Civil Rights in Camden City Schools
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS (SISTERHOOD)
Sisterhood Activities: Number of Sorors: 24 Others: 0
Description of the Activity: Eta Sorors participated in monthly birthdays recognition and gifts
led by 2nd Anti-Sharon Andrew-Jackson. The Black History Committee presented "Black
History Quotations", and "Black History 104". The Sorors enjoyed the presentation.
FOUNDERS DAY: Number of Sorors: 25 Others: 7 Description of the Activity:
Eta and Zeta Chapters observed Founders Day May 19, 2019 at Christ Care Unit Missionary
Baptist Church Cathedral, 242 Sickerville Road, Sicklerville, New Jersey. Theme: "Soror-Lean
on Me". The Pastor delivered an inspiring message related to our theme. Basileus from both
Chapters presented a monetary donation to the Educational/Scholarship Fund. After the
morning worship service, Eta hosted a creative sisterhood program center around the theme.
Sorors participated in the Re-dedication and Torch Lighting Ceremony followed by a delicious
luncheon. The Basileus and Chairperson gave each Soror a Calla Lily and Fan.
