NATIONAL SORORITY OF PHI DELTA KAPPA, INC. • 80TH ANNUAL EASTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE

                                                                                                             4
Description of the Activity: On October 22, 2019 Theta Chapter re-launched their Book Club
for the Sororal Year 2019-20. The first book we read was “Before I Forget” by B. Smith and
Dan Gasby. It is felt that this is a very good to read and discuss for someone who may be
dealing with with a relative/friend who is suffering with Alzheimer’s. It deals with the disease
and gives you insights to assist the person. On Wednesday, December 11, 2019 we met and
discussed the book “Where the Crowdads Sing” by Delia Owens, this is a novel and it is very
interesting. On Wednesday, February 5 2020, we will meet to discuss the Book “Small Great
Things" by Jodi Picoult. This is also a novel. Finally on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 we will
meet and discuss "An American Marriage” by Tayari Jones. This is the book selected for the
Eastern Regional Conference Book Club discussion during the Conference April 23 to 26,
2020. The Book Club is off to a good start this Sororal Year.
