• Employees will be personally responsible for any personal fines, moving violations, or citations
received while operating a company vehicle.
• Failure to adhere to these policies and procedures may result in disciplinary action, which may
include termination.
Use of Equipment and Vehicles
Equipment and vehicles essential in accomplishing an employee’s job duties are expensive and may be
difficult to replace. When using GreenPoint Ag owned or lease equipment or vehicles, you should
exercise care, perform required maintenance, and follow all operating instructions, safety standards,
and guidelines.
Immediately notify your manager if any equipment, machines, tools, or vehicles appear to be damaged,
defective, or in need of repair. When you promptly report damages, defects, and the need for repairs,
the further deterioration or damage to, of equipment and possible injury to employees or other people
can be prevented.
You should get with your manager if you have questions about your responsibility for maintenance and
care of equipment or vehicles you use in their job.
The improper, careless, negligent, destructive, or unsafe use or operation of equipment or vehicles, as
well as excessive or avoidable traffic and parking violations, may result in disciplinary action, up to and
including termination of employment.
Substance Abuse / Drug-Free Workplace Policy
GreenPoint Ag takes drug abuse seriously and is committed to providing a substance abuse-free
workplace for its employees. Substance abuse of any kind is inconsistent with the behavior expected of
our employees, subjects all employees and visitors to our work sites to unacceptable safety risks, and
undermines our ability to operate effectively and efficiently. GreenPoint Ag prohibits illegal substance
use and any substance abuse while performing work for the company or operating a company-leased or
company-owned machine or vehicle.
Drug Testing
GreenPoint Ag reserves the right to require a drug test on the following occasions to ensure a workplace
that is safe and drug free:
• Pre-hire, as a condition of employment (post job offer)
• After the occurrence of any work-related injury or accident to determine if substance use may
be a factor.
• Reasonable suspicion that an employee is using, or has used, drugs or alcohol in violation of
GreenPoint Ag's policy.
• Random and/or blanket testing, with or without notice, at any time.
Testing Procedure
Testing will be performed by a laboratory certified by the National Institute on Drug Abuse as qualified
to perform drug testing under federal workplace testing programs. Positive test results may be subject
to confirmation testing and verification by a qualified medical review officer. GreenPoint Ag will comply
with relevant federal, state, or local law (ex: Federal DOT rules for commercial drivers) that may
