GreenPoint Ag Employee Handbook
Once a resignation has been submitted, an employee may not use vacation time. Accrued and unused
time will be paid out upon termination of employment. Any negative vacation balances will need to be
repaid via payroll deduction, as subject to applicable state law, when an employee separates
employment.
If a former GreenPoint Ag employee is rehired within one year of separation, they will be reinstated in
their former years of service for vacation benefits.
Sick Time
GreenPoint Ag provides additional paid time off to help you when you need to be out for health-related
reasons or to care for family members with a health concern.
Regular full-time employees receive 40 hours of paid sick time annually for any health-related matter for
you and your family. Sick time hours for regular part-time employees will be prorated based on their
schedule.
All unused sick hours will be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 320 hours. Requests for sick
time are not to exceed more than eight hours per calendar day.
Employees hired after June 30th will receive 20 hours of paid sick time for their year of hire.
If you or a family member have a health-related matter, contact your manager as soon as reasonably
possible when use of paid sick time is needed.
Once a resignation has been submitted, an employee may not use sick time. Accrued and unused time
will be paid out upon termination of employment at one-half of the employee’s balance, not to exceed
80 hours.
As part of our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, GreenPoint Ag supports a culture of good
mental health and well-being. You are encouraged to take advantage of the paid time off provided.
In the event you may be struggling emotionally, psychologically, or physically, we encourage requesting
a day off using sick time. If additional time is needed, you should talk to your manager and/or Human
Resources representative and seek assistance from our employee assistance program (EAP). There are
counselors and programs paid for by GreenPoint Ag to provide mental health assistance and resources.
Requests for sick time are to be done through UKG for hourly employees. Salaried employees request
sick time by using the Time Off Request Form and submitting the completed and approved form to
HR@greenpointag.com.
Donating Sick Time
GreenPoint Ag recognizes employees may have a family medical emergency resulting in a need for
additional time off in excess of their available paid time. To address this need, all eligible regular full-
time and part-time employees may donate up to 16 hours of paid sick time from their unused balance to
a fellow employee in need of additional paid time. This policy is strictly voluntary.
The receiving employee must use all existing available paid time off balances prior to acceptance of
donated sick time.
