throughout the year.
• Part-time Non-Exempt: Regularly scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, throughout
the year.
Seasonal
• Non-Exempt, full-time, or part-time only employed during the busy season.
Intern
• Non-Exempt, full-time or part-time, employed during a school break.
Temporary
• Exempt or Non-exempt; full-time or part-time: Job is expected to last less than three months
initially, employed for a specific project that does not fall under seasonal or intern.
Temporary contractors who are working through a temporary service and are hired for a direct full-time
or part-time position with GreenPoint Ag, will begin their date of service (new hire date) the date they
are placed on GreenPoint Ag’s payroll as a regular employee. All benefits will be calculated from that
date just as with any other newly hired employee.
Exempt and Non-Exempt Status
Determination as to your exempt or non-exempt status, which determines whether you qualify for
overtime pay, is made by Human Resources based upon criteria set by the Fair Labor Standards Act
(FLSA) along with other relevant factors. Under the FLSA, employees must meet both the job duties and
minimum salary tests to qualify for exemption from overtime.
