Wage Garnishments
A wage garnishment is an order from a court or a government agency directing us to withhold a certain
amount of money from an employee’s paycheck and send it to a person or agency. Wages can be
garnished for such things as to pay child support, spousal support or alimony, tax debts, outstanding
student loans, or money owed as a result of a judgement in a civil lawsuit. Please note that we are
legally required to comply with these orders. If you have a concern about the amount of a garnishment,
you will need to contact the court or agency that issued the order in dispute.
