PERMIT-TO-WORK
● Any of the following tasks will require a Permit-
to-Works:
● Work in excavations;
● Work in confined spaces;
● Access to restricted areas;
● Work on electrical systems (by trained
qualified electricians);
● Maintenance Work on Work Equipment;
● Hot works;
● Work at height;
● Employees and contractors must request a
Permit-to-Work for any of the above tasks;
● A supervisor must be appointed to monitor that
all the required control measures are in place;
● A written copy of the Permit-to-Work must be
displayed at the workplace;
● Work equipment, services etc. must be isolated
and locked off;
● Permit-to-Work must be authorised by the
designated manager;
● The duration of Permits-to-Work are related to
the level of the risk, but in all cases signed off
daily.
