SLIPS, TRIPS AND FALLS

SUMMARY OF CONTROL MEASURES:-

● Scaffolding contractors must be erected in
accordance with TG20:13;

● If using a safety harness, use the correct
type of lanyard. Consider fall restraint vs

fall arrest;

● Anyone using a safety harness must be

suitably trained for inspection and use;

● A competent person must complete

statutory work at height inspections in
accordance with relevant legislation.

● Operatives using MEWP’s and scissor lifts
must be trained and competent and use

the equipment in accordance with the
manufacturer instructions;
