LIFTING OPERATIONS
SUMMARY OF CONTROL MEASURES:-
● Extend stabilisers on cranes and placed on
suitable timber sleepers or designed mats;
● Adjust forks to distribute the load on
forklifts;
● Lifting appliances such as cranes , forklifts
and tele-handlers must be provided with
Falling Object Protection Structures;
● Lifting appliances must be operated in
accordance with manufacturers operating
manual;
● Prevent authorised access during lifting
operations by using suitable and sufficient
barriers, mesh fencing, safety warning signs
etc.
