the word which consists of four kinds.
➢ Kato mandaki(the word climb), a speech used by
someone with an interlocutor who has a higher
social status.
➢ Kato manurun, (decreased word), a speech language
used by someone with an interlocutor whose social
status is lower.
➢ Kato Malereng(sloping word), a speech used by
someone with the other person who has the same
social status and respects each other (respect).
➢ Kato mandate(vertical word), a speech language
used by someone with the interlocutor of the same
social status and the relationship is close.
F. Educational Method
In chapter II it is explained that the educational
method is a way to achieve the goal. In Minang customs there are
several ways to achieve educational goals, and these methods are
of course very closely related to Islam and customs.
1. Habituation method
The habituation method is a routine practice of kindness,
in essence it is repetition. This method of habituation is found
