Muhammad Hatta, vice  president of the Republic of  Indonesia;

Muhammad Natsir, prime minister and general chairman of the
Masjumi Islamic party; Sutan Syahrir, prime minister of the

Republic of Indonesia; Mr. Muhammad Yamin, the Indonesian

minister of education; Hamka; writers and scholars.
The Padri War, as a starting point for change, has

succeeded in strengthening and enlarging the influence of Islam
into the social system of the Minangkabau community, so that

there are differences in the influence of Islam on Minang customs
in the period after and before the Padri war. Minang customs which

initially originated in the real world, after the arrival of Islam, these

customs accommodate Islam into customs, because the teaching of
learning in nature is also a virtue in Islam. Therefore, the Minang

custom referred to in this study is the postwar Minang custom,
because at this time it was firmly established that an agreement was

being instituted between adat which based its teachings on nature
and Islam, which was based on monotheism in Allah.

The impact of the unification of adat and Islam affects the

government system, which system contains three groups of people
namely religion, adat and intellectuals called Tungku Tigo

Sajarangan (Tungku Tiga Sejarangan). The unification of religious

and customary elements is depicted in the symbol of the
completeness of a nagari, namely the traditional hall and mosque
