From Teacher’s Desk
Never a dull moment at EPG… We have had a busy month getting back into our
routines after the long break. The children assimilated quickly into the school
spirit. A huge “thank you” to our teachers and the staff, who all worked as one
team to make it a smooth transition.
We are well into the month of February, and our children are excited to explore
and investigate the topic of the month, “Our Home Countries.” To make it a
delightful learning experience, we are looking closely at aspects of the children’s
familiar world, such as where they live and what characterises their countries.
Our children are also very eager to celebrate Kuwait National and Liberation
Day later this month by learning new songs and dances. They have been
diligent in learning about Kuwait through playing, reading and writing while
taking pleasure in decorating their classrooms with Kuwaiti themes that involve
lots of ‘hands-on’ activities and creative tasks. As part of our CPD programme,
teachers, on the other hand, attended an in-branch workshop for “Innovative
Activities”. It involved creating and crafting original, appealing and engaging
activities for our children to delve into and providing a holistic learning
experience. The above is a manifestation of what EPG stands for: in offer-
ing a safe and well-organised environment which is conducive to learning. Of
course, a substantial part of this exceptional educational journey is our parents,
who are by far our biggest support system in terms of their contributions and
engagement in making every event and learning experience a spectacular one!
