Abstract
Due to the pandemic situation of the Coronavirus Disease 2019, various organizations
have prepared to adjust in response to the Social Distancing policy. In the case of the Court
of Justice has issued various measures and guidelines to support the management of cases
by using technology and innovation to help facilitate the people. In the case of criminal
cases If the case is postponed indefinitely, it will affect the rights and liberties of the
defendants, especially the accused who are held in prison. To create a balance between
safety and justice for the people. The Court of Justice has adopted electronic (online)
criminal trials. Electronic litigation has always been a challenge to court hearings that
require face-to-face evidence. But from a comparative study of other courts both in the
country and abroad, there has been an adaptation by applying electronic technology to
the judicial process as well. It is likely in the future that if the epidemic situation is over,
both domestic and international courts will accept and adopt it as an international standard
for sustainable and permanent electronic judicial proceedings. Applying electronic (online)
procedures in criminal cases It is an option for citizens to attend the proceedings without
having to go to court. This reduces the burden of costs and increases the convenience for
