First Responder 2: Ma’am, please calm down. Your husband’s going to be alright if you let us
do our job. Please come with me and have a seat.
First Responder 1: I’ll check for airway and breathing.
               Mrs. Green: Is he breathing?
First Responder 2: Calm down, Ma’am. I’m afraid you’ll be sick too. Please stay close to me
and let Miss Jenny check on your husband.
First Responder 1: Breathless! I’ll give 2 IVM/Initial Ventilatory Maneuver with the aid of my
                  pocket mask.
First Responder 2: Did the air enter the lungs?
First Responder 1: Yes, it did! I’ll check for the pulse.
Mrs. Green: Is my husband still alive?
First Responder 1: The patient is breathless and pulseless! Miss Lea, please attach the AED to
Mr. Green and turn it on.
First Responder 2: The patient needs a shock! Everybody please clear the way. Move away from
                  the patient.
First Responder 1: Everybody is clear; I’ll do the first shock.
First Responder 2: First shock is done; I’ll do CPR.
First Responder 1: Please, check again for breathing and pulse.
First Responder 2: Mr. Green is now breathing and has a pulse.
First Responder 1: Mrs. Green, your husband has now been revived. Please calm down.
               Mrs. Green:Thank you so much!
First Responder 1: You’re welcome, we just did our job.

               1. Do you think that early CPR increases the survival rate of the patient from
                  heart attack?
