I’d like to take a fi ve-day leave

                  starting next Monday.

A: Excuse me, ma’am. Are you busy? I just need to discuss something with you.
B: Not really. Please have a seat.
                  A: Thank you.
B: What do you want to discuss with me?
A: I’d like to take a fi ve-day leave starting next Monday. My wife has won a trip for two to Paris. This will be our fi rst
time to travel to Europe so we’re both excited about it.
B: Really? Congratulations! Okay, I will allow you to take a leave even with such a short notice because you’ve
remained very loyal to the company all throughout these years.
A: Oh, thank you so much. My wife would be so happy to hear this great news. By the way, Mr. Park will be taking
over my responsibilities while I’m on leave. He can contact me through my mobile phone in case there will be
                     problems.
B: Enjoy your trip. By the way, who’s going to be in-charge of your project while you are on leave?
A: Mr. Park would be on top of it while I’m on vacation.
B: I see. Please tell him to see me this afternoon.

                  1. Are you satisfied with your job?

                    Sample answer:

Yes, I am satisfied with my job. Aside from getting a high salary, I also have the chance to travel to different countries. In fact, I’ve already trav-
eled to fifteen countries since I started working for this company.

                  2. Is your boss fair in treating his subordinates?

                    Sample answer:
I’d like to think so. He does not play favorites. He would commend you if you’ve performed well and he’d reprimand you if you’ve performed
                    below his expectations.

                  3. Do you think contractual employees are also entitled to paid leaves?

                    Sample answer:
It depends on the employee. If he’s performing well then probably the company could give him paid leaves as an incentive.
