A: Hello, may I speak with Mr. Thoss?
B: This is he. May I know who’s on the line?
A: This is Mr. Holcomb of the Chemical Group, Inc. I’m calling to confi rm my meeting with you
on Wednesday.
B: Oh, yes. It’s good that you called me. I almost forgot about it. Would it be fi ne with you if we’d
be meeting at Silverleaf Tavern.
A: Certainly, sir. What time shall we meet?
B: Will 3:00 P.M be good for you? I have a lunch meeting in the same restaurant so that’ll be the
most convenient time and place for me.
A: 3:00 P.M is defi nitely good for me. See you on Wednesday.
B: Okay. Thank you. Have a nice day!
1. Are you prompt in most instances?
Sample answer:
Yes. I am a freak about being on time. I am a very organized person so I always prepare a daily schedule, which helps me to be prompt in
everything that I do.
2. Have you ever experienced waiting for somebody for three hours?
Sample answer:
Yes, I’ve experienced waiting for somebody for three hours. Actually, it just happened yesterday. My friend and I were supposed to meet at 6:00
P.M but he arrived at 9:00 P.M.
3. Do you think punctuality is antiquated?
Sample answer:
Certainly not. Being punctual is a good habit. We are all busy and have things to do, so being on time keeps everyone on schedule.
