1. There was a breach of contract. The lessor did not renew your lease agreement even if you have notified him
regarding your intent to renew the contract. You want to seek an advice from your lawyer as to what you can
do regarding the matter. You are explaining to the lawyer the term of the contract.
a. Renewal of Rent: Lessee shall give notice in writing two(2) months before the expiration of this lease agreement of
his/her intention to renew this contract subject to agreement of the Lessor on the renewal terms
Sample answer:
Atty., please enlighten me on this matter. I need your advice. My lessor did not renew my contract even if I notified him two months before the
expiration of the lease agreement. Can I sue him for breach of contract?
2. You are organizing a concert. You are about to sign the contract with the manager of the artist when you
noticed that some of the provisions of the contract are biased toward the artist. You are explaining to the
manager that he has to revise the said contract before you sign it.
a. talent fee for the concert: $2,500 for 20 songs
b. talent fee for rehearsals: $300 per day
Sample answer:
I am not in favor of these provisions. This is too much. Imagine, I have to pay her an additional $300 per day for rehearsals on top of the $2,500
talent fee that you’re asking from me. I won’t sign this unless you revise those provisions. I can get other artists for the concert.
