In my opinion, filmmakers should create more socially relevant movies. The acting, cinematog-
raphy, effects, and screenplay are not enough. Producers and directors should never forget to
put more stress and importance on family values, religion and education.

1. You went to Laos for a business trip. One evening, you want to see a movie
but there is only one movie house that screens in English at Laos.

Excuse me sir, I was looking for Sai Gnam, a movie house. Am I at the right place? I see, you call
it Little Movie House. You use a DVD projector to feature English films. This is unique, and you
say that I can watch movies free of charge as long as I order food in the restaurant. It is quite
simple, but I find it entertaining. May I have the menu, please?

2. Both you and your wife were so busy with your business that you do not
have the time for watching movies. For your anniversary after having din-
ner, you plan to go to Palace Cinema.

Honey, we have had our business here in Australia for 10 years now that I cannot remember
the last movie that we have watched. Do you want to see “The Mummy- Tomb of the Dragon
Emperor” at the Palace Cinema at Screen 2? The next screening time is at 7:30pm. Okay, I know
you plan watching this movie. Could you buy some drinks and popcorn for us, while I get some
tickets? The movie will be over in an hour. We still have enough time to attend to the kids and
to our secretary. Come on, let us enjoy the movie first and forget about work for a while.
