The 3D Printing Pizza Maker
19 NASA contracted with a company in Austin, Texas, called
BeeHex to invent a 3D printer that could make pizza. The
printer uses a CAD file, like any other 3D printer, but instead of
printing a plastic or metal object, the printer prints a custom-
designed pizza. You can select the size, dough type, sauce, and
toppings. After the printer prepares the pizza, it must be baked
in a conventional oven. A chocolate maker can
make a 3D-printed

imagination is the only limitation.
21 In 2032 when NASA plans to start the Mars mission, the
pizza-making machine may join the astronauts on their journey
to make the experience just a little more appealing.
Chocolate Printing
22 A company called Choc Edge Limited designs and manufactures
3D printers that can make objects out of—you guessed it—
chocolate. High-end bakeries and restaurants buy these printers
and create objects that amaze their customers. Chocolate spiders,
flowers, words in 3D, and even portraits are possible with these
amazing inventions.
