Clarifying Positions
JZ: What happened to the game last night? I didn’t watch it, I stayed late at work.
Michael: I saw the game at the pub with friends. I bet on the older player and lost.
JZ: I read about the game this morning. I think the younger player was hiding his strength.
Michael: You follow the game more than I do, you should know what he’s capable of.
JZ: There’s a rematch tomorrow night. I think the older guy won’t underestimate him again.
Michael: He won’t go down that easy. He was just too confident about his abilities.
JZ: I hope I’ll be able to watch the game tonight. I don’t want to miss another game.
Michael: Don’t let that happen, otherwise, you’ll be missing half of the excitement.
JZ: Yes, I feel so incomplete not seeing the game. I’m really such a visual person.
Michael: So, you learn through watching?
JZ: Yes, I learn from their victories and defeat.
Michael: Since you’ve mentioned that, do you have any forecast?
JZ: Yeah, but let me hear from you first.
Michael: If the kid wins the next game, the old guy would be history.
JZ: You’re right. I’m sure he’ll up his ante to make sure he wins the next game.
Michael: So, considering the strengths of both players, which side are you taking?
JZ: I’m not sure. Will you bet on the kid again, or will you go for the older guy this time?
Michael: I’ll take the younger guy this time. I think he has some tricks up his sleeve.
JZ: Okay, then in that case, I’ll take the older guy. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Michael: Well, let’s see who wins. Hopefully I’ll win the bet this time.
