3. What are the main points to keep in mind when creating a proposal?
Sample answer:
Keep the reader in mind. Know if the person to whom you are presenting the proposal
were already familiar with the topics included or not.
1. You were instructed by your supervisor to head a team, whose goal is to cre-
ate a business proposal for a partnership with a sister company. How would
you go about creating the proposal?
Sample answer:
First of all, I would meet with the team members. We can discuss how we are going to
create a proposal and divide the tasks among us. Once we have an idea on how to go
about the proposal, we can start on the research. It is also important to look into the
sub-culture of our sister company, so we can tailor the proposal to both our needs.
Once we have the information and our outline, we can start the actual creation of the
proposal and once approved, present it to the representatives of our sister company.
2. You are asked to present the annual budget proposal during the company’s
annual planning meeting. How would you present the proposal?
Sample answer:
I would initially study the proposal very carefully. I want to make sure that if and when
questions are raised during the discussion, I am fully capable of addressing their que-
ries. I would study, not just the proposal itself, but also the supporting documents and
information. I will deliver the presentation in such a way that it is easily understand-
able to the audience.
