As we know, in recent years, the
world has been shocked by the Covid-

19 virus, which can endanger human
health. One of the symptoms that a
person can develop infected with the
new type of coronavirus or Covid-19 is

coughing. Experts have mentioned that
the symptoms are followed by the
common flu such as fever, headache,
including cough. According to the

According to WHO, most patients infected with corona experience a
continuous dry cough, shortness of breath or pneumonia, but not
accompanied by throat pain. Even so, not all dry coughs are symptoms
of the corona virus, dry cough can be a sign of irritation or irritation in the

throat. In addition, coughs that occur in people suffering from flu will be
accompanied by runny nose and sneezing. This will not happen to
people with Covid-19. So if someone shows a cough accompanied by a

sneezing phase, it is likely that they only get the common cold, to reduce
flu symptoms we can use cough medicine. Cough medicine contains
various chemical compounds, one of which is ammonium chloride.

Ammonium chloride produces expectorants that dilute phlegm,
making it easier to remove. The raw materials for producing ammonium
chloride are ammonia (NH3) and hydrochloric acid (HCI), following the
reaction of ammonium chloride formation:

When ammonium ions and chloride ions are formed, the two ions

attract each other, thus forming ammonium chloride crystals. From the
