Annual Cosmetology Mock State Board Exam Provides Practice

          for Students

          The annual Cosmetology Mock State
Board Exam for Daniel Morgan Cos-
metology students was held on February
21, 2022. This event is a practice activity
for students to gain experience for the
actual state board exam. Students are
          evaluated by licensed beauticians who
provide feedback on practical skills on
which they will be tested. This feedback
allows the instructor time to work on any
          areas that need improvement before
the real Cosmetology State Board Exam in the spring. We are excited to announce
that all of Ms. Pruitt’s cosmetology seniors passed the LLC State Board Practical Exam
          on March 14, 2022.

Graphic Communications Class Adds “Class” to DMTC

The Graphic Communications level III class has been working on a
project that not only adds to the beautification of the school but also
adds a bonus safety element. The students used the TruVis 300
printer/cutter to make window coverings for the classroom doors
that feature images highlighting the programs. When the lights are
on, the coverings are transparent allowing teachers and visitors ac-
cess to see in and out of the classroom; however, when the lights
are off, the teachers can see out but an unwanted
visitor would not be able to see in the window.
BHS senior Danielle Stewart is seen applying one of
the window coverings in the picture. BHS senior
Krista Smith also helped with the project. Thank
you to Ms. Pennington and her students for spruc-
ing up the school but also for providing the added
          level of safety!
