  Preoperative preparation, if necessary
                     Talk to the patient if time is available
                     Straighten the beddings as needed
                     Leave patient comfortable
                     Leave unit clean and in order
                     Observe and report any unusual observation.

                       Evening care
                     Assemble Equipment
                     After bedpan or urinal
                     Give back rub and oral hygiene
                     Straighten bed
                     Leave patient comfortable
                     Put headlight on and put off the room light
                     Make everything handy for the patient.
               4.2.2  Baths
                       A bed bath is a bath given to a patient in a bed who is unable to care for himself.
                       Bed Bath: (Sponge bath, blanket bath)
                       Purpose
                     To promote comfort and cleanliness
                     To stimulate circulation
                     To prevent body odors
                     To prevent pressure sores
                     To relax the patient

                       Equipment
                   1.  Two bath towels
                   2.  Face towel 1/
                   3.  Washcloth /2/
                   4.  Own gown
                   5.  Pillowcase
                   6.  Linen for making the bed (one or two large sheets as needed)
                   7.  Soap in the soap dish
                   8.  Two bath basins or one large jug containing warm water and one basin.
                   9.  Brush and comb
                   10. Bedpan or urinal if needed
                   11. Tray for nail care of mouth care if necessary
