4.2.2.1 Tub bath
Equipment
A. Soap
B. Gown
C. Washcloth
D. Slipper
E. Bath towel
F. Stool
Procedure
A. Assistant patient to undress
B. Assist patient into the tub and avoid failing
C. Allow the patient to bath himself or assist as necessary
D. Assist the patient out of the tub and dry his body and put on a gown.
E. Return the patient to the room and put it to bed.
F. Clean the bathtub and leave the room in order.
G. Discharge soiled linen.
Safety Measures
Have the correct temperature of the water
Avoid chilling
Always heap bathroom unlocked.
Check the patient frequently for signs of exhaustion.
4.2.2.2 Baby Bath
Purpose
To promote comfort and cleanliness
To observe the skin and general activities of the baby.
To prevent infection.
