The Bridge over the River – the columns of The Periodic table by Geoff Johnson
  1 Wow – it’s a river
2 Ohgod–whatshallIdo
3 Shall I swim, build a bridge, go back
4 I’m building a bridge
5 HowshallIbuildit–thisisgoingtobesohard–
should we?
6 Iknow–letsdoit
7 Lets get all the stuff together we need – ropes,
stone, helpers
8 Build, construct, work hard
9 Nearly finished it’s time to test it, correct little
faults, walk carefully over it
10 It's ready, good – it works
11 Maintaining the bridge over years – takes effort 12 It’s getting weak and rotten, the insects are
attacking it – it's hard work to keep it OK
13 I can still go over it, but it is weak, and we are
not going to be able to keep it intact.
14 It is rotten – looks OK from the distance, but
you can’t use it – an empty image 15 Bridge crashes down
16 Ruins are lying there
17 Destroyed completely
18 The bridge is gone – what bridge?
