CAMP NEWS
Monte Sano Camp (Redstone #353). Monte Sano Camp conducted a bivouac at the newly renovated
Huntsville Masonic Center on May 7, 2022 to induct Brother Alan Bridgewater into the Heroes of ’76. Camp
Commander, Jason Crowe conferred the degree with support from eight Heroes to include the Heroes of ’76
Area Representative, Bro. H.T. Ray, and veteran Hero Bro. Bert Piatt. The cast included the following
distinguished Masonic Brethren and Heroes: Bros. Smokey Ferguson, Joe Zito, Tom Craig, John Meyers, Sam
Curatola and Raymond Lamp. This was the first opportunity Monte Sano Camp had to confer the degree since
prior to the COVID pandemic. Many thanks to the all the Brethren who came out to make this a memorable
occasion!

Raphael Semmes Camp (Baldwin County Chapter #531), assisted by Lexington Camp (Five Flags of
Pensacola #460) conducted a Flag Retirement Ceremony at The Grove in Foley, AL, as a remembrance for
9/11. Over 50 residents attended. Bro. Fred Steiner, PP, PC, presided, assisted by Bro. Ken Einhorn,
Lexington Camp Commander and Hero Jeff Meister.
