DI - 68 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>intermittent failure
NO>go to Step 2.
2. Check the power circuit of nitrogen oxide sensor.
a. Ignition switch: ON.
b. Disconnect the nitrogen oxide sensor connector F057.
c. Measure the voltage of NOx sensor connector F057 pin 1
to ground.
Standard voltage:
Multimeter connection Standard value
F057(1)-grounding Battery power supply
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 3.
NO>Repair or replace the failed harness
3. Check the ground circuit of nitrogen oxide sensor.
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole.
c. Disconnect the nitrogen oxide sensor connector F057.
d. Measure the resistance of NOx sensor connector F057 pin
3 to ground.
Standard resistance:
Multimeter connection Standard value
F057(4)-grounding About 0Ω
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 4.
No>check, repair or replace the faulty ground harness.
4. Check the signal circuit of NOx sensor CAN.
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole.
