2. Electric control AX

a. Disconnect or connect the negative cable of battery.
● Before the electric maintenance, be sure to disconnect the FR
negative cable of battery to avoid any accident caused by

short circuit, etc.

● Before disconnecting or connecting the battery cable, be

sure to turn off the ignition switch and light switch, and

fully loosen the cable fixing nut, in order to avoid any
torsion or prying.

● After disconnecting the negative cable of battery, the
records of clock and radio, etc will be cleared. Record all
the necessary data before the maintenance. EL

b.Operate the electric elements.

● Don’t open the housing of control module if no special
demands (if IC pin is carelessly contacted, it may be
damaged due to its electrostatic interaction).

● Be sure to pull the connector, and don’t pull any wire in

case of disconnecting the wire connector.

Wrong ● Operate with care, and don’t drop any electric element

(e.g. sensor or relay, etc). If it’s carelessly fallen down to

hard ground, be sure to replace it, and don’t reuse it.

● In case of cleaning the engine with steam, be sure to avoid
any influence of water vapor on electric elements, air filter
or relevant parts of emission control system.
● Don’t remove or install the temperature control switch or
temperature sensor with an impact wrench.

● In case of checking the connectivity of wire connectors,
be sure to insert the probes carefully to avoid any torsion or

damage.

● After replacing the electric elements, be sure to check

their functions to ensure their normality.
