Safety rules IN
1. Instruction
Many operations related to maintenance and repair of vehicle can influence the personal safety or health DI
problems. Some relevant dangerous operation, materials and equipment as well as safety rules for avoiding
such danger are listed in this section. The above information doesn’t contain any matter related to health and
EG
safety, so all the works, procedures and material handling operations shall be performed on the premise of
safety and health. Before applying any product, observe the product instructions supplied by the manufacturer
or supplier. TR
2. Acid and alkali
For example, corrosive sodium carbonate and sulfuric acid.
AX
They are used to clean the battery and other materials.
They are irritant or erosive to eyes, skin, noses and throat, which may hurt the human body and damage the
common protective clothes. FR
Prevent them from splashing on eyes, skin or clothes, wear the appropriate protective clothes, gloves and
safety glasses, and avoid fog inhalation. Be sure to provide the flushing equipment in adjacent areas, e.g. eye
ST
rinsing bottles, washbasins and soap, etc, thus the rescue assistance is available in time in case of splashing.
Make the marks of eye risk in obvious positions.
3. A/C refrigerant BR
Skin contact may cause freezing injury.
Be sure to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer, avoid any naked lamp light, and wear
BW
appropriate safety glasses and protective gloves. If your skin or eyes contact the refrigerant, flush the
contacted area immediately with water, flush your eyes with appropriate fluid, don’t rub your eyes, and seek
for medical assistance as per actual conditions. EL
A/C refrigerant--operations to be avoided
Don’t store the refrigerant where the sun shines or heat source exists.
Don’t stand the refrigerant upright in case of filling it. Keep its valves down.
Don’t expose the refrigerant bottle in frost or snow.
Don’t drop the refrigerant bottle.
Don’t emit the refrigerant directly into atmosphere under all the conditions.
Don’t mix the refrigerants, e.g. R12(dichlorodifluoromethane) and R134a(tetrafluoroethane).
4. Adhesive and sealant
Important attentions for application of adhesive/sealant
Before applying the adhesive/sealant, be sure to keep the glued surface clean, and wipe it with special
detergent, so as to avoid the influences on bonding effects. In case of applying the sealant, don’t make any
glue solution able to solidify at room temperature enter into blind threaded holes. If this sealant enters into the
blind threaded hole, it can make the fastener produce a hydraulic locking effect while tightening, thus the
fastener and (or) other parts will be damaged, the fastener can’t achieve its correct clamping force while
tightening, the sealing effect of sealant will become worse, the fastener can’t be correctly tightened, the parts
may be loosened or detached, and the parts like engine, etc can be seriously damaged.
Health and safety
The materials of adhesive/sealant contains harmful substances. Their long-time contact can lead to acute or
chronic intoxication, occupational disease and skin disease, etc. In case of gluing, adopt the ventilation
breather to keep the workshop well ventilated; during the operation, wear the protective gloves, breathing
mask and protective clothes, etc. After the operation, clean your hands carefully, and keep the workshop clean,
neat and hygienic.
Remove the glue wastes or wastes polluted by solvent in time to avoid long-time stacking.
