a. First turn off the power source before contacting with the sufferer.
b. If the power source can’t be turned off, remove the power source of sufferer with dry insulating materials.
c. Perform on-site first aid immediately if special first-aid training is available.
d. Seek for medical assistance.
10. Exhaust
The exhaust contains toxic or harmful chemical substances, e.g. carbon oxide, nitrogen oxide, aldehyde, lead
and aromatic hydrocarbon. The engine can run only on the appropriate exhaust equipment or general
ventilator and in open space.
11. Fiber insulation
It’s used to insulate the noise or sound.
Its surface fibrous properties and sharp edges can lead to skin allergy.
During the operation, follow the instructions for operation procedures and wear the gloves to avoid the
excessive contact of your skin with fiber.
12. Fire accident
Many materials related to vehicle maintenance are flammable. Some materials can produce toxic or harmful
gas after their combustion.
In case of storing and handling the flammable materials or solvent, be sure to follow the fire prevention safety
regulations, especially near to electric appliance or welding work.
Before using any electric appliance or welding machine, be sure to confirm no fire risk first.
In case of welding or using the heating equipment, provide an appropriate fire extinguisher around
the working area.
13. First aid
The laws shall be followed, and it’s best to make the specially trained first-aid personnel available on work
site.
If chemical solvent is splashed on eyes, flush your eyes with fresh water for at least 10min.
If the skin is polluted, it’s required to clean the polluted area with soap and fresh water.
In case of freezing injury, soak the frozen part in ice water or cold water.
Any inhaler of toxic gas shall be immediately transferred to fresh air. If he/she has any repeated poor
symptom, send the inhaler to hospital immediately for medical assistance.
If you take the liquid carelessly, tell the information marked on the container or label to doctor. Don’t vomit
blindly unless otherwise indicated on the label.
14. Foam-polyurethane
The cured foam is buffering cushion for seat and trim.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
The components without chemical actions shall be irritant and may be harmful to skin or eye, so it’s required
to wear the gloves and safety glasses for operation.
Any person with chronic respiratory disease, asthma, bronchitis or atopic dermatis, etc shall not handle or
approach the uncured substance.
Its spares, steam or fog can lead to direct stimulation or anaphylactic reaction, and may be toxic or harmful.
Don’t inhale the steam or fog, which must be applied under the conditions of excellent ventilation and
respiratory protection. Don’t remove the respirator immediately after spraying, and remove it after the steam
or fog is fully eliminated.
The combustion of uncured components and cured foam will produce toxic or harmful gas. During the
foam work, it’s prohibited to smoke, use open fire or electric appliance unless the steam or fog is fully
removed. Any heat cutting of foam or special foam material shall be operated in the well-ventilated
environment.
