9. Overhaul of release bearing
(a). Fasten the inner edge of the bearing, rotate
its outer edge, see whether the rotation is
not smooth and hear whether there are any
noises. Press on the axial direction, if the
bearing has distinct clearance or damage,
replace it with a new one.
10. Overhaul of clutch release fork
(a). The parts of clutch release fork that are
easily worn during the operation are
shown in the illustration, examine and
repair the release fork of the clutch before
the assembly; if serious wear or distortion
is found, replace or repair it.
11. Install the clutch components
(a). Install the driven plate of the clutch with
special tools or insert the first axle into the 32
driven plate as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
• Make sure that the working surfaces of
flywheel, clutch driven plate and the
clutch platen are clean without oil
stains; clean all the bolt holes with
compressed air to ensure that there are
no foreign matters.
• Notice the correct position and direction
of the clutch driven plate; don’t install
the driven plate in the reverse direction.
(b). Install the clutch platen.
• Align the clutch platen with the correct
installation matchmarks that are made
during the removal, evenly screw down the
fixing bolts of the platen in batches
according to the orders shown in the
illustration.
