6. Checking ground circuit from combination switch to ECM signal

(a) Use a multimeter to measure resistance
between connector pin 1 of combination
switch B029 and connector pin 29 of
ECM (58-pin) C033.
Resistance: ≤2Ω

Are check results normal?
4 Yes > Replace ECM. (Refer to Service Manual for Cummins ISF Series Engines.)
No > Repair line open between connector pin 1 of combination switch B029 and connector pin 29
of ECM (58-pin) C033.
7. Checking for exhaust brake indicator light signal circuit open
(a). Ignition switch: ON.
(b) Use a multimeter to measure voltage to
ground of connector pin 4 of
combination meter B034.
Voltage: battery voltage

Is check result normal?
Yes > Repair signal line open between connector pin 10 of combination switch B029 and
connector pin 4 of combination meter B034.
No > Replace combination meter assembly.
