(b) Remove the bolts and nuts securing exhaust pipe welded unit to the bracket.

(c) Take off exhaust pipe welded assembly.
(d) Check exhaust pipe welded unit for excessive corrosion, cracks, and air leak, etc. When
necessary, replace.
8. Removing exhaust temperature sensor (refer to Service Manual for Cummins ISF
Series Engines)
9. Removing nitrogen oxide sensor (refer to Service Manual for Cummins ISF Series
Engines)
10. Installing exhaust temperature sensor (refer to Service Manual for Cummins ISF Series
Engines)
11. Installing nitrogen oxide sensor (refer to Service Manual for Cummins ISF Series
Engines)
12. Installing exhaust pipe welded assembly
(a) Install the bolts securing exhaust pipe welded unit to bracket temporarily. Do not tighten the
fixing bolts until the joint clamp has been fastened.
Torque: 21~25 N•m
