Capuchin Knot

French monks of the Capuchin order used this knot on the

ends of their cord belts. This is a very long extended double
overhand knot that is best tied in a different way to reduce

the amount of manipulation needed to get it into a good
shape. If a line is to be thrown, tying this knot at the end

of the rope will make things a little easier, as it adds
weight on the end of a heaving line.
