technology driven paradigm shift in the design of efficient modality is efficient handling,
processing, co-ordination and administration of institutional resources, which is decisive for the
competitiveness that presents itself as a result of other institutions in the academic business. In a
society which is becoming increasingly dependent on information and the processing of
knowledge, great demands are therefore made that the individual should have a solid and broad
educational foundation on which to build. This foundation requires an educational policy that
makes sure that technology qualifications are developed by means of their integration in all
activities in the educational sector and making sure that individual citizen should have an active
and critical attitude to developments and not just passively allowing technological development
to set the pace. Internet access, a massive networking infrastructure for instance, which connects
millions of computers together globally, forming a network in which computers can
communicate with several others as long as they are connected to the internet has designed a
Segway to disseminating academic instructional materials from the instructors to the learners in
almost all the colleges and universities that has integrated it to their system. This new and
improved communication method brought about by technology should trickle into academia and
make changes in the way academic curricula and delivery of course content is delivered.
The invention of the internet access has introduced a formidable linking hub that has
connected the classrooms with the outside world in a split second, thereby enhancing effective
learning in an educational setting. In today’s changing world, the internet is so popular that its
revolutionary principles should simplify the process of academic instructional modalities in
colleges and universities across the world.
