Jiancheng Circle is built at the cross of Chongqing North Road and Nanjing West Road. The traffic
is very busy during rush hours. It has been in the history of old Taipei for a long time, like the
heart of the Dadaocheng District, is an important role affecting the prosperity of local industry and
commerce. As a common memory of many old Taipei people and the birthplace of some traditional
Taiwanese cuisines, Jiancheng Circle is a must visit stop for gourmet customers in Taipei.Taipei
Jiancheng Circle, built in the early 1908, has become one of Taipei's landmarks because it turned into
a night market with local features around the circle. It had gone through some historical events and
eventually demolished in 2016. The site was first furnished with greenery to provide resting space for
citizens.

In the transformation of Jiancheng Circle, a total of 26 local seminars, 1 citizen cafe ́, 5 symposiums
were held, and from the air defense reservoir relics in Dadaocheng Circle, which was discovered
during the excavation of the foundation in the early 2002 reconstruction project, to the Circle
itself that brings back many people's tongue-and-mouth food memories, were discussed. At last,
it’s decided to preserve the relics, a fountain square was set up, and some sculptures, imagery
flowerbeds, promenades and the green grass slope of the early cultural imagery of this circle were thus
reproduced. 126
