two weeks. The cost is also not expensive, around Rp 150,000 per product because there is assistance
from the local government," he said.

Puji Astutik is preparing her products for display at the Exhibition of Traditional Medicine, Cosmetics,
and Processed Foods for SMEs at Pendopo Panjalu Jayati in Kediri Regency, East Java on Tuesday
(24/10/2023). Her fruit starfruit product under the trademark Abid Fresh has obtained circulation permit
                from BPOM.

Currently, several processed food products produced by them have obtained circulation permits from
BPOM, including podang mango fruit juice, podang mango jelly candy, and processed desserts made
from podang mango. These products are now being sold in many other regions as typical Kediri
                processed foods.

Dinar said that obtaining a distribution permit for the products she produces not only expands the
marketing of the products, but also increases their value. After obtaining a distribution permit for the
product produced, its value can increase up to threefold.

Puji Astutik (45), the owner of Abid Fresh star fruit juice UMKM product from Kediri, East Java, also
felt the impact. The selling value of her product has increased significantly after receiving marketing
authorization from the BPOM. In fact, the product has already been sold through several retailers in
                various regions.

"Getting this circulation permit is indeed not easy. I even had to relocate my production site because
previously I was producing this fruit juice at my own home. At first, it required additional capital, but
the whole process was guided, so eventually I obtained the permit," he said.

Regency, East Java, on Tuesday (24/10/2023).

According to the BPOM Head Regulation Number 27 of 2017, every processed food product that is
produced domestically or imported and sold in retail packaging must have a distribution permit. The
obligation of this distribution permit is necessary to ensure that every processed food product that
circulates has guaranteed safety, quality, and nutrition.

The requirement to obtain a distribution permit from BPOM is that the production of food products must
be located in a separate location from the household. The products produced have been identified in their
processing, such as manual, semi-automatic, automatic, or using certain technologies. Please note that if
