Wharo and his men advanced on to Rākaipaaka’s village and the battle
started. Rākaipaaka and his group were losing so they ran away from the
village. Wharo and his men chased them. When Rākaipaaka arrived in
the middle of the battalions he was trapped and they all surrounded him.
